PRP Treatment for Hair Loss and Facials

What is PRP?

Platelet - Rich Plasma is part of your own blood that we are able to separate through a centrifuge machine. The PRP contains plasma, nutrient rich cells, proteins, platelets, and many growth factors.  Platelets are tiny cells that circulate within your body and bind together when they find and recognize any damage in the blood vessels. Growth factors are proteins that help build and regenerate. 

How is the PRP Prepared?

PRP is produced when a small amount of blood is drawn into a sterile, disposable container. It is then placed in the centrifuge machine that spins it for 10 minutes. This separates the platelets and plasma from your red blood cells. Then we are able to retrieve the PRP and it is ready for use.

Is it safe?

PRP is safe because it comes from your own blood, therefore you should not have an allergic or immune reaction. PRP preparation must be conducted by a trained medical provider. 

What PRP treatments are available? 

1. Hair restoration:

PRP has been used over and over again successfully for hair growth. There are different reasons for baldness and a thorough assessment must be made. Best candidates are people that have androgenic alopecia and that their hair loss started within 5 years. The PRP is extracted and prepared as mentioned above. Then it is injected in the subdermal layer to the area of hair loss. It is recommended to get at least 3 treatments one month apart, then do  maintenance treatment every 4-6 months. 2. Microneedling with PRP

Microneedle creates controlled micro injuries to your skin, which induces collagen formation and cell turnover. When we combine it with PRP it creates a powerhouse treatment that helps to renew and regenerate your skin. It is great for fine lines, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, texture, tone, and anti-aging. We recommend doing a series of 3 one month apart for optimal results. Maintenance can be done every 4-6 months. The cost is $500 per session.

3. Knee injection with PRP
